Locate an Enrolment / Update center near you

In order to enroll for Aadhaar for yourself or for your family member, you will be required to visit an Aadhaar Enrolment Center. In case your Demographic details (Name, Address, DoB, Gender, Mobile Number, Email)is not up-to-date in your Aadhaar, you can get the same updated by visiting an Aadhaar Enrolment Center. Update the Address in your Aadhaar

You can update your address in Aadhaar by following these steps:

  1. Visit the official UIDAI website:  https://uidai.gov.in/.
  2. Click on the ‘Update Aadhaar Details (Online)’ link under the ‘My Aadhaar’ tab.
  3. Enter your Aadhaar number and click on the ‘Send OTP’ button.
  4. Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number.
  5. Select the ‘Address Update’ option and proceed.
  6. Enter your new address details in the form provided and click on the ‘Submit Update Request’ button.
  7. Upload the scanned copy of the supporting document for address proof.
  8. Review the information entered and click on the ‘Proceed’ button.
  9. A confirmation message will be displayed on the screen. You will receive a URN (Update Request Number) via SMS. Keep this number safe for future reference.
  10. Your address update request will be processed by UIDAI and your updated Aadhaar card will be sent to your registered address. Alternatively, you can also update your address in Aadhaar by visiting the nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra or by sending an update request via post.     2. Click on the ‘Check Status – Update done Online’ link under the ‘My Aadhaar’ tab.
    3. Enter your Aadhaar number and URN (Update Request Number) in the form provided.
    4. Enter the captcha code and click on the ‘Get Status’ button.
    5. The status of your Aadhaar update request will be displayed on the screen.

    The status can be one of the following:

    • Pending: Your update request has been received, and it is under process.
    • Processed: Your update request has been processed successfully, and your updated Aadhaar card will be dispatched to your registered address.
    • Rejected: Your update request has been rejected due to invalid or incomplete information alternatively, you can also check the status of your Aadhaar update request by calling the UIDAI toll-free number 1947 or by visiting the nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra.
      How to Check Aadhaar Card update history online

      Aadhaar update history can be checked online by visiting the UIDAI portal. It is a must that your mobile number should be registered in UIDAI’s database to avail of this facility.

      You must follow these simple steps to check your Aadhaar update history:

      Step 1 Visit the UIDAI portal

      Step 2 Select the “Aadhaar Update History (Beta)” option from the “Aadhaar Update” section

      Step 3 Enter your Aadhaar number or the virtual ID and security code

      Step 4 Select whether you want to send the OTP to your registered mobile number or generate TOTP from the mAadhaar app.

      Step 5 In case you select “Send OTP”, an OTP will be sent to your mobile number registered with your Aadhaar

      Step 6 Enter the Time-based OTP generated in the mAadhaar app for authentication

      Step 7 Enter the OTP/TOTP and click on the “Submit” button
